Fritz Winter

Fritz Winter is considered one of the most important of German postwar artists, although he studied and worked in the 20s and 30s.  He was at Bauhaus and taught, but was labeled 'degenerate' by you-know-who and then spent a lot of time in the maelstrom of 1939 to 1949.  Here is a link to know more:
